Jesus – A short meeting story…
I’ve found this image at the Sagrada Familia entrance, in Barcellona. The Jesus statue embraces, tied, a column in the center of the Passion Facade. I was immediately struck by its simplicity and expressiveness. Maybe due to the suggestion induced by the beauty of that place, but I felt like I was attracted to her. I started to walk around it, to admire it, to try to understand its magic, but I couldn’t find the right position for a shot. I looked away, I went over…, but like an iron attracted by a magnet, I found myself after a few minutes there again, looking at it again…
And while I was turning around it, at a certain point I noticed the golden inscription in relief on the bronze door in the background. JESUS. There were others golden relief writings, but that one was perfect! Then I realized that this was the shot I was looking for, that it could express the emotion I was feeling at that moment, and that I still feel, when I look, still admiring, this image.
